Electric wrenches have two types of construction: clutch type and impact type.

The clutch type is a structural type that uses a clutch mechanism that releases when the torque is reached to complete the assembly and disassembly of threaded parts; The impact type adopts an impact mechanism to complete the assembly and disassembly of threaded parts with its impact torque. Due to its simple structure, small output torque, and reaction torque, the former is generally only suitable for manufacturing electric wrenches of M8mm and below; The latter has a relatively complex structure and high manufacturing process requirements, but its output torque is large and its reaction torque is very small, which is generally suitable for manufacturing large specifications of electric wrenches.

The impact electric wrench consists of a motor, a planetary gear reducer, a ball spiral groove impact mechanism, a forward and reverse power switch, a power connection device, and a motorized sleeve.

According to the type of motor selected, impact electric wrenches include single-phase series excitation electric wrenches and three-phase electric wrenches.

The motor device of a single-phase series excited electric wrench is inside a plastic housing. The plastic housing is used both as a structural member to support the motor and as additional insulation for the motor stator. Due to the large axial tension between the end face of the plastic housing of the device motor and the plastic front cover of the device planetary gear reducer and the ball spiral groove impact mechanism when assembling or disassembling threaded parts with an impact electric wrench, and the high assembly accuracy required for the planetary gear reducer, metal inserts are provided at the ends, bearing chambers, and threaded connections of the plastic housing to enhance the rigidity of the housing, Improve the processing accuracy of the plastic housing and the ability of the joints to withstand axial forces.
